Alaska is one of the fifty states that make up the United States of America. Unlike most of them, however, Alaska isn't connected to the rest of the country—it neighbors the northwestern reaches of Canada, separated from the eastern coast of Russia by a relatively small strait.
Like Canada, it's really cold.

Transformers (PS2)
During the Autobots' hunt for Mini-Cons, they found Aurora, Bulletproof, Discord, Kickback, and Highjump in the frozen wastelands of Alaska. A Decepticon base was set up there, and had drones dig through the mountains in search for those Mini-Cons. When he spotted an Autobot snooping about, Starscream tried to ram him with his ship, but only ended up crashing it into the mountain, dangling over a cliff. A battle between Starscream and the Autobot later caused the ship to slip off the cliff and crash deep into the icy ground below. Transformers
