Star Trek vs. Transformers
Arex was stationed on the bridge when the Enterprise arrived at Cygnus Seven in response to a distress call. When the ship was unable to contact the planet's surface, Captain Kirk took a team of officers down to the planet's surface to investigate, leaving Arex in charge. Arex was quick to contact Kirk once the interference with their communications was lifted, and subsequently carried out Kirk's command to fire a photon torpedo at the hostile robots on the planet. Prime's Directive, Part One
Arex had the Enterprise follow the Decepticons, only to learn that they were sentient lifeforms. With that in mind, Arex opted to try for negotiation only for Trypticon, now transformed into a Klingon warbird, to cripple the Enterprise. Arex tried to contact Spock but failed to make contact on account of Soundwave jamming the transmission. Prime's Directive, Part Two
