A voice box, (interchangeably called a voicebox, voice capacitor, voice chip, vocoder, or a speech synthesizer) is a biomechanism that allows Transformers to speak in the spoken word. Without the aid of a voice box, a Transformer can usually only communicate via electronic noises which can be interpreted by others of their kind but not generally by humans—unless you are Raf Esquivel...
