Windburn is a Decepticon Commander from the Power Core Combiners portion of the live-action film series continuity family.
Wonder if he yells "Zerg Rush!" every time he orders the Insecticon hordes into battle?

Windburn is the kind of robot that wins wars. He's a master of modern warfare and has the uncanny ability to hold whole battlefields in his mind, in active real time, no matter how large. Together with Darkray he masterminds Decepticon troop movements across the battlefield, steering them towards victory.

Toys

Power Core Combiners

 • Windburn with Darkray (Commander Class, 2010)
Part of the third wave of Power Core Combiners Commander Class figures, Windburn is a redeco of Searchlight, transforming into a twin-rotor helicopter. He can swap between his normal head and a larger head so that he can also serve as a torso for Power Core Combiner drone-limbs. His chest plate has a flip-up Mini-Con Powerlinx peg that allows him to use any Mini-Con as chest armor, though the nominal choice is his pack-in partner Darkray. He retains the same left-elbow misassembly as Searchlight.
This mold was also used to make Choppermaster.

 • Power Core Combiners Special Value Offer (2011)
Windburn was also made available as part of a Walmart-exclusive Black Friday "Value Pack", combining a 5-pack team with a Commander 2-pack via packaging tape and a couple of stickers, for the whopping price of ten bucks, merely a third of what the two toys would normally cost.
So far, Windburn has only been found attached to the Double Clutch/Rallybots set.

Notes

 • Windburn's personality, colors and deco, down to the paint mask layout for the head/helmet, appear to be one giant homage to DC Comics' :}}Orion (comics)| of the New Gods. Furthermore, his Mini-Con partner's name might be a mashup of Orion's father :}}Darkseid| and his friend :}}Lightray (DC Comics)|.
