Chewbacca

Chewbacca is an alien in Star Wars.

You transformed into that thing? You're braver than I thought.

Chewbacca is the fur-covered first mate of smuggler Han Solo. Together the duo pilot their starship, the Millennium Falcon, away from Imperial troops trying to put a stop to their activities.

Star Wars Transformers

Shortly after making their famed completion of the Kessel Run in just under twelve parsecs, Chewbacca and Solo were set upon by an Imperial Star Destroyer. Refusing to give up without a fight, the two revealed the Millennium Falcon's "new modification technology": the ability to split into two heavily armed attack robots. Chewbacca and Solo attacked their enemies with a barrage of missiles, showing them the speed and power of the Millennium Falcon.

Only available as a 2-pack, Chewbacca is a larger figure packaged with Han Solo. Fittingly, he combines with Han to form the Millennium Falcon with Chewbacca forming the rear section of the vessel. His robot mode head is sculpted to look like a mechanical version of Chewbacca. Chewie is armed with his iconic crossbow and includes a small pilot figure of Chewbacca which can ride inside the shoulder-mounted cockpit in robot mode. Pressing a button on his back activates (very bright) blue thruster lights and sounds and wookie sounds from the Star Wars films.

Unfortunately, this figure is known to suffer from Gold Plastic Syndrome wherein his upper arms and thighs shatter to pieces if you try and use any of Chewie's ratchet joints.

Star Wars Transformers (2018)

Much like the original version from 2006, this new version of Chewbacca transforms into the rear section of the Millennium Falcon and can once again combine with Han Solo, whom he is packaged with. He is armed with his crossbow and a new pilot figure of Chewbacca that can ride in a shallow chest compartment of his robot mode. The main cockpit is actually too slender to fit both Han Solo and Chewie at the same time, unlike the 2006 version of the set.

His right fist is 5mm compatible, but his left hand is sculpted in an open relaxed position and cannot hold most accessories securely.
