- A thread on the Transformers Collectors' Club forums asked how Shattered Glass Scourge would look and act. Some dork suggested the BotCon 2009 Sweep toy be repurposed as Shattered Glass Scourge, as Shattered Glass Kup is in normal Scourge's colors and BotCon Sweep is in normal Kup's colors. Pete Sinclair apparently thought that was workable.
- A contest on Twitter ran on September 28, 2011 to write Shattered Glass Scourge's bio in 140 characters or less. The winning bio writer would be awarded a BotCon Sweep/Shattered Glass Scourge toy.[1] The contest ended at midnight that night. The following day, Kevin "Ojunix" Skiles was revealed to be the winner.[2]
