Any Transformer infected with an energon discharge virus will slowly expel energon in the form of sneezes, until his or her power cells are completely exhausted, resulting in the Transformer going offline. Conversion to beast mode won't help, though the process may be slowed by an infusion of energy, such as calories burned by eating food.
The only known cure is a counter-virus.
