She was heading in to work at Rand in the (mercifully) cut hacking-streetlights-in-a-cab scene when the DOD people grabbed her for the pentagon thing. (The junior novel fleshed out how they knew one another instead of dwellign on the racially uncomfortable nature of Glen's home.)
