New Kaon was originally known as Pyrovar. The AllSpark Almanac II After Megatron disappeared and was presumed dead, Blitzwing held a funeral session for his leader at New Kaon. Dispatches Blitzwing later hired the bounty hunter Lockdown there. A Few Loose Strands
A fight between Blitzwing and Lugnut started at the central base of operations on New Kaon and quickly turned ugly. After they realized that their conflict was being exacerbated for profit by the ever-enterprising Decepticon merchant Swindle, they returned to New Kaon to extract their revenge. Everything Must Go

- The name "Pyrovar" originates in the unofficial text story "Alignment", in which a planet of that name was similarly made the capital world of a displaced Decepticon army (albeit named "New Cybertron").
