Beast Wars Neo comic

After being chewed up and spat out by Unicron, Magmatron's still-living disembodied head gripped the Magma Blade with its teeth and asked Big Convoy to receive the sword as a "parting gift". Magmatron then repented of his wrongdoings and asked Big Convoy to give him an honorable "warrior's death" with his own sword, as Magmatron himself was a true warrior. Big Convoy honored the request and killed Magmatron with the Magma Blade. Double Cross

Later, Big Convoy returned to the planet Cybertron and used the Magma Blade to destroy Unicron's physical body. Return to Zero

3H comics

Magmatron had become part of the new Dinobots, and was sent on a mission, given to them by the Oracle, Departure to the planet Arkus. The mission was a trap, however, and Magmatron and his Dinobots were attacked by energy vampires and their master known as the Dweller. Betrayal Magmatron fought off the Dweller long enough for the Dinobots to escape. When they returned to rescue him, they found nothing but his Magma Blade. The Wreckers: Finale Part 1

Beast Wars: Uprising

Magmatron, chief engineer of the Dinosaur, nearly chopped his junior engineer Dead-End to ribbons with his Magmablade when she startled him by popping out of a coolant hatch after the ship's political officer Synapse began executing crewmen. He later used the sword to chop up some security cameras after the ship itself turned on them. Intersectionality

Much, much later he used his Magmablade to cut down a Copter Drone while fighting alongside his fellow Ex-Bots during the Vehicon Apocalypse. Derailment
