Live Convoy has numerous gimmicks: His rotor blades spin using a geared push-button, and become a spinning-blade weapon mounted on his robot mode's left arm. He has an adjustable tow-hook on a string, which retracts with the push of a button: this gimmick ends up on his right robot mode arm. Inserting a Cyber Key into his back end (backpack in robot mode) swings around a pair of spring-loaded missile launchers which double as the helicopter's engine exhausts when not deployed (or loaded with missiles, for that matter).

Live Convoy was later redecoed into Universe Voyager Class Autobot Blades and Springer, and BotCon 2011 Shattered Glass Galvatron.
