Fiction
2019 IDW continuity
During the War of the Threefold Spark, Croaton was the only Titan "usurped" by Exarchon. Wheeljack: Orbital Decay In response, the Titan Citadel took up arms against his enthralled brother, destroying Croaton entirely Titans with an imploder. Light/Star The fragmentary remains of his body became the Croaton Cloud, a thin ring of dust and debris that orbited Cybertron's sun. Wheeljack: Orbital Decay Following the war, Citadel grieved for Croaton, even continuing to do so when he entered stasis lock. Titans
