The flight stand is a figure mounting system used for displaying action figures in mid-air, rather than standing on a surface. This allows them to be supported in poses that would otherwise be impossible if the figures were balanced on their own. Typically, flight stands consist of a large flat base and an arm that can be used to hold figures. Flight stands will often hold figures through pegs of various sizes, claws, or other attachments designed to be as hidden as possible.
Some Transformers toys have hexagonal/circular flight stand ports that allow them to be directly fitted onto standardized 3mm flight stand joints. By the early 2010s, this had become a standard feature on many modern-era Transformers.
Note: The vast majority of flight stand compatible ports found on figures are at the base of the spine, or between the legs of a figure. Unless noted otherwise, they're likely found there on your figure.

This one may be cheating, hence the separate category. Certain Revoltech figures come with stands and extra holes for those stands. Those figures will be noted, but all Revoltech figures have 3mm peg holes in their feet to use the base instead should they include one.

Transformers Masterpiece Stand (2015) (version 1)
This display stand was a re-deco of the above stand, and was provided as an accessory with Masterpiece Tracks and Loudpedal, in solid black and translucent purple, respectively.
When the HasLab crowd-funded Victory Saber project passed 17,000 backers, it unlocked the inclusion of a translucent blue flight stand featuring the Victory logo and the Autobot insignia. The stand features a removable 'arm', which can attach to the base in two different ways to support Victory Saber in both vehicle and robot modes.
Anti-Gravity Pedestal Tensegbase (2022)
A decidedly odd release, these uniquely branded flight stands stand out from the rest by featuring a tensegrity mechanism that makes the upper platform appear as if it is floating in midair. A silver base is included with a redeco of KingdomUltra Magnus' inner robot as Optimus Prime, and two alternately colored bases are sold separately; one in heroic Autobot red and the other in EVIL Decepticon purple.
