I was looking for a somewhat tidier way to list off these names that doesn't take up as much space, and I think this might work. Also, I haven't got that far through Selects, so there could be more storylinks to add.

The Primitives are a group of Transformers from the cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Primacron built some of the primitives in the ancient past. Over time, he improved his work, building them bigger and nastier until his greatest achievement, Unicron turned on him, deciding not to allow himself to be controlled by Primacron. Unicron attacked Primacron's lab. Primacron survived. Primacron's assistant's body was destroyed, but his life essence escaped.

In 2006, the Primitives were brought together by Primacron's assistant to combat the threat posed by the scientist and his latest creation, Tornedron. The assistant hoped that the Primitives' "simple instincts" could overcome the brilliant scientist's complex plans. The assistant was proved correct when Grimlock broke into Primacron's control room and toggled the "reverse switch," a solution that eluded Primacron himself. Reversing the energy polarity destroyed Tornedron and reversed all the destruction he caused. Call of the Primitives
