Sixwing is a Micromaster combiner from the Operation Combination portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
He should be called Fourteenwing.

Sixwing (シックスウイング Shikkusuuingu) is the combined form of the Micromaster Wing Team (ウイングチーム Uingu Chīmu). His incredible agility and skill in the air makes him a very dangerous opponent for ground-based forces.

Micromaster

It's a nice day for a white Sixwing. A nice day to start again.

Sixwing first appeared when the Wing Team, six former Autobot Cyberdroids who had been mysteriously "evolved" into Decepticons due to a dimensional shockwave, made an attempt to steal several hibernating Cyberdroids from the Autobots' base on Earth. Their theft interrupted, the team combined into Sixwing and battled against Sixturbo, who was at a distinct disadvantage against the flying foe. Sixliner arrived quickly with a new weapon, the Vaccine Program Gun, designed to restore the Decepticon Micromasters' original Autobot programming. Though Sixliner scored a direct hit, the weapon did not work as intended, instead giving the Decepticon a powerful shining-white "evil Autobot" Berserker mode. Enter the Decepticon Sixwing!!

With this new power, Sixwing and the other Decepticons continued to harass the Autobots, and even succeeded in stealing several Cyberdroid capsules, increasing their ranks. Sixbuilder the Ill-Fated Warrior!? However, the appearance of Sixtrain, who could assume the ultra-powerful "Red Mode" that was a match even for Sixwing's Berserker Mode, once again turned the tide. This power forced Sixwing and his allies to abandon an excavation site near a dormant volcano, but the Wing Team simply waited for the Autobots to begin their own dig, swooping in and forming Sixwing once again in order to claim the spoils. Sixtrain! Activate Red Mode!!

Sixwing took part in a raid on the Autobots' newly constructed Metrobase at the foot of the volcano, but picked a bad time... as the Multiforce had just arrived via a dimensional tear. Their combined robot mode Landcross proved more powerful than even Sixwing's Berserker mode, forcing him to retreat. The Menace of Landcross's Combining Formation!

Operation Combination

Years later, the now-Autobot Sixwing banded together with Sixtrain and Guard City in a battle against the Decepticon Battle Gaia amidst a human-sized city. He and Sixtrain were quickly bested, leaving only Guard City to fend off the villain. Big Pinch, Autobots!

Later, Sixwing and all other Micromaster Combiners scattered across the globe were summoned to Earth's orbit to join Guard City in a last line of defense against Battle Gaia and the Jet Corps, who had fought their way past the Road Corps. Sixwing went up against Flare Jet. The Decepticons' Attack on Earth!

Sixwing, Sixtrain, Sixbuilder, Sixturbo, and Guard City eventually combined to form the "Autobot Scrum Combination". Combining the power of all twenty-nine individual Autobots, their unleashed energy destroyed Battle Gaia on the spot. As the Jet Corps fled with the remains of Battle Gaia, Sixwing joined the other Autobots in gleefully waving goodbye. Conclusion

Released during Operation Combination, Sixwing was one of the last Generation 1 Transformers toys in Japan. He was available only as a gift set, containing all six members of the Sixwing team. He's made up of Six Micromasters and a large amount of kibble which can be recombined to create the "Sky Sweeper" jet in which one Micromaster can ride.
His limbs have limited interchangeability with each other and with other Sixteams. That is, his arms can swap with like arms from any other Six-teams (though there is some post-size difficulty with some later redecos), and his bottom can become the bottom of any Six-team. He can also freely swap his legs, head or chest with any non-train team. (Because the non-train teams all use the same basic torso and thighs these two can be changed around as one pleases.
This mold set is also used by the Universe Aerialbot combiner Superion.

In 2003, the entire Sixwing team was extensively redecoed as part of the third assortment of The Transformers: Micromaster toys, in individual boxes with a number visible to show which mold was inside each box. This deco of Sixwing was repurposed as Shattered Glass Superion.

In every case of twelve Wing Team Micromasters, two of them were solid-white-plastic "Berserker" variations with purple Autobot sigils. All six Micromasters were available in this manner.


Notes

  • Sixwing actually has a total of twelve wings—one on either side of his chest, and two on each of his Micromaster members except his bottom. He has fourteen if you include his feet which become the wings of his kibble's jet mode.
  • Berserker Sixwing has purple Autobot symbols.
