Cyberverse
« Nezha: Transformers

Nezha: Transformers (哪吒与变形金刚 Nézhā yǔ Biànxíng Jīngāng) is an upcoming (?) computer-animated cartoon for the Chinese market, a joint effort between Allspark Animation and China Central Television (CCTV). The series combines the cast of Transformers: Cyberverse with the story and characters of the 2003 cartoon The Legend of Nezha, a previous CCTV production. The series follows the title character Nezha, who allies with the Autobots to defend the world against the evil Shiji and the Decepticons.

Fifty-two 11-minute episodes were set to be produced. A trailer was released in December 2019.[1] According to former Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner, broadcast stations outside of China had also expressed interest in taking on the show,[2] but no international distribution announcements were made.

However, the series has been seemingly delayed indefinitely, presumably due to complications from the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. It is currently unknown when or if it will ever air.

Storyline

Unfortunately, there is little to no information on the specifics of the plot, as the series has apparently been delayed indefinitely, the trailer lacks any kind of dialogue, and the handful of press releases have not gone into anything more than the business end of the crossover. How the Transformers and the deities of Nezha's world came together? We don't know. It's not even clear if this series is actually connected to the Cyberverse cartoon in any way beyond the use of the character models; it might be a new-to-Transformers continuity set in the Nezha cartoon's timeline, or just totally new all around.

Until it gets released or the work done is leaked by some brave soul, anything more specific about this series will probably remain a mystery.
