• Inside the original Optimus Prime toy's trailer, one of the stickers depicts the Romulan Neutral Zone.
• Several well-known actors from Star Trek have played prominent roles in Transformers, including Leonard Nimoy, George Takei, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton, LeVar Burton, Jeffrey Combs, Michelle Yeoh and John Noble.
• Also, many IDW Transformers staff have done work on the Star Trek comics, including Chee Yang Ong, Chris Mowry, and Andy Schmidt.
• Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have written entries in the current series of Star Trek films.
