This article is about Ultra Magnus' buggy partner. For the actual deer Battle Beast, see Deer Stalker{{#switch:{{#sub:Big Serow|-1}} != .= ?= .

Deerstalker is an Autobot from the Japanese portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Elementary, my dear Magnus!

Deerstalker (ディアストーカー Diasutōkā) is one of Cybertron's top detectives and friend of Ultra Magnus. He's not the most social bot, and is particularly nervous around women like Arcee.

Toys

  • Ultra Magnus (March 28 2026)
  • ID Number: C-10
  • Accessories: "Small Blaster Gun"/"Laser Gun" rifle, Future clothed figure
Included in an official Transformers product for the first time ever, Missing Link Deerstalker is a new figure directly based on the original Diaclone Powered Buggy, but cast in blue and white to match Ultra Magnus' color scheme. He transforms into a combat buggy that can seat the included Dianaut figure as well as fit atop Magnus' trailer in car carrier mode, and can also use Magnus' rifle as a weapon in both modes.
Deerstalker's transformation has been reworked from the original Diaclone figure to no longer require partforming. A collector's card featuring new artwork in the same style as Ultra Magnus is also included.

Notes

  • Deerstalker's name derives from a type of hat which is commonly associated with detectives in media, perhaps most famously Sherlock Holmes.
  • While neither Hasbro or Takara have sold the Powered Buggy design as part of a Transformers-branded toy before, the figure's ties to the brand go back to when Italian company GiG released the Powered Convoy figure as part of their Trasformer line, where it was named "Super Buggy". Powered Buggy was also later officially added to Transformers fiction through the bio for Masterpiece Delta Magnus, where it was given the name "Powerdrive".
