| This article is about the Autobot High Councillor. For the Decepticon sub-group, see Trakkon. |
- Traachon is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.

High Councillor Traachon (formerly General Traachon) manages to fail at everything he's ever tried to do. Scarily, the Autobots made him their political leader, anyway.

Marvel The Transformers comics
General Traachon was the commander of Iacon's military forces. Despite Emirate Xaaron's wishes, Traachon refused to send peacekeeping forces to the Vos/Tarn conflict, and believed it'd be good for Iacon if both city-states destroyed each other. State Games
Later, with Iacon about to be overrun by the warrior remnants of those two states (whoops!), Traachon was High Councillor of the ruling Council of Autobot Elders; as High Councillor, he wielded veto power. Xaaron petitioned him to give control of the military to Optimus Prime instead of keeping it under Council control. Traachon agreed. And There Shall Come...a Leader!
According to Soundwave, Traachon used to bear the Creation Matrix before it was passed to Optimus.[1]
When the Ark was lost, Traachon attempted to once again take command of the disorganized Autobot army. As a result, the Decepticons conquered everything except Iacon, and that deadlock ended when new leader Trannis simply decided to bomb the city. In an emergency meeting, the Council (except Xaaron) decided to surrender. The instant they did, Trannis killed Traachon and the rest. Cybertron: The Middle Years!
Transformers '84

The High Council met with Optimus Prime to discuss Cybertron's errant course towards the dangerous Stellae Cimeterium. Traachon, speaking for the Council, opined that the Cimeterium represented a greater threat to Cybertron than "the upstart Megatron." Not only did Optimus disagree, providing a well-thought out counterargument, but he noted that the Cimeterium could be avoided entirely if Cybertron's speed were to be slowed to the point where Ursa Major could pick it up. Open to such an idea, Traachon asked why resources were still being wasted on the Ark, only to receive no answer from the Prime. '84 #0
Wings Universe
Traachon was raided by Deathsaurus's forces. Oil from Traachon's personal cellar was among the spoils and the Decepticon warlord enjoyed it so much that he asked Lyzack to put it among the best oil he had. Flames of Yesterday
2005 IDW continuity
Traachon was one of the neutral faction leaders who attended Optimus Prime's Grand Convocation in the early stages of the war. Derelicts
Beast Wars: Uprising
On post-war Cybertron, Traachon was on the Builder Assembly. At one Assembly meeting, Traachon forwarded a motion regarding the regulation of hover-capable bots which newly-minted councilor Double Punch seconded. Identity Politics
Eject thought unfavorably of Traachon and his fellow assemblymen. Broken Windshields
Traachon relied on mathematics to make his decisions in the Assembly. When Lio Convoy's forces marched on Iacon on four separate fronts, Traachon concluded a 10% chance they were fully successful, but a 57% that at least one front fell before the Resistance. Shuddering at the idea of the Resistance in Iacon, he voted to rescind General Order 66. As a result, he and the other members of the Builder Assembly soon fell before the Vehicon Apocalypse, and their own hubris. Derailment
Notes

- "State Games" came out after "And There Shall Come… a Leader!", and retroactively has it that Traachon was a (former) military leader when Xaaron was arguing that generals and not politicians should be running the army. It's possible Traachon was just a very crap general.
- Sadly for Traachon, Simon Furman didn't remember he'd said in issue #56's letters page years ago that Traachon possessed the Creation Matrix prior to Optimus Prime, and thus Sentinel Prime was created.
