- Safety Prime is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Safety Prime (セーフティプライム Sēfuti Puraimu) is the Autobot Town Circuit Commander assigned to Super GT motorsports. Given life in conjunction with the establishment of the Transformers GT, he oversees any and all activity on the race track, with unblinking awareness of everything that goes on there at all times. Safety Prime knows all, sees all, and everybody knows they'd better not break any of his rules and regulations. He chums around with Ai, who manages to get along pretty well with him despite his stern demeanour.

[edit]
Safety Prime assisted TakaraTomy marketer Maeda-P in introducing the Transformers GT franchise. He waited politely for Maeda-P to finish hocking the retail toys before showing off his own toy as Maeda-P explained how kids could find him at the "Transformers GT x Kids Walk" live event. Transformers GT is here!!

- Safety Prime (Original Ver.) (EZ Collection, 2013)
- Safety Prime is a redeco of 2010's Transformers: Reveal the Shield Legends Class Prowl, transforming into a modified Nissan 350Z, reworked into a motorsport safety car.
- He is part of the "Cybertron Satellite" promotion wherein select towns and neighborhoods had their own "mascots". Unlike most of the other characters in the promotion, rather than be assigned to a specific region of the country, Safety Prime was instead created as a mascot for the TakaraTomy-sponsored "Kids Walk" events events held by Super GT in 2013, with whom the company was collaborating on their Transformers GT toyline. He is the only Town Commander to have received a toy thus far, which was given away free at the walks to participating children.
- This mold, without the lightbar, was also used to make Transformers Chronicle Streak and Generations Bluestreak.
