Trivia

A robot looking an enormous amount like Tomaandi appears as a leading member of the Autobot High Council (possibly council leader, Optimus Prime calls him 'sire') in the first issue of Transformers. Despite having nearly exactly the same character model (and pose) he has a radically different colour scheme to Tomaandi. The reason for the similarity is that artist John Stokes lifted designs, compositions, and panel layouts wholesale from Frank Springer's art in the first few issues of Transformers to create And There Shall Come... A Leader.
So it could be that this robot is Tomaandi -- or it could just be plagiarism. You decide.
