Diane Duane (born May 18, 1952) is an American writer. She is perhaps best known for her Star Trek work and her So You Want to Be a Wizard YA books. She has written for numerous television shows and co-wrote the G1 episode Webworld with Len Wein.
Diane is also a frequenter of the snark community Fandom Wank. She doesn't often post, because when she does she's inevitably dogpiled by a few dozen fangirls congratulating her for reaffirming their belief in the One True Romance of Cyclonus and Galvatron.
On a related point, Diane Duane seems to have mastered smiling politely on the internet.
