Leyland is a Decepticon from the Operation Combination portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Have you seen me?

This character or person needs some sort of visual representation. If you have one, please replace this.

Leyland combines with his teammates to form the mighty Battle Gaia, making up the brunt of the Decepticon forces commanded by Scrash.

Fiction

Operation Combination story pages

Leyland — like the entire Battle Gaia team — is never shown as an individual robot, only as a limb to the team's combined super robot form.

Toys

Operation Combination

  • Battle Gaia (Decepticon, 1992)
Available only as part of the Battle Gaia giftset, Leyland is a redeco of the Combaticon Swindle, transforming into a XR311 Combat Support Vehicle. He can form an arm or leg to any Scramble City-style combiner, but his standard placement is as the right leg to Battle Gaia.
The same mold is used by Robots in Disguise Rollbar.

Trivia

  • Leyland was presumably named after the British motor company that manufactured trucks and buses as well as the Land-Rover and other military jeep-stye vehicles.
