The name Hot Rod has been used by more than one Transformers character
- 1986 — Hot Rod, aka "Rodimus", aka "Rodimus Prime", aka "Rodimus Major", from the Generation 1 series. For toys of this character, see Hot Rod (G1) toys.
- 1990 — The Hot Rod Patrol, a hip and happening team of Micromasters from Generation 1.
- 2001 — Dark Hot Rod, the evil clone of Hot Rod turned good in the Generation 1 continuity.
- 2009 — Hot Rod, the Henkei! Henkei! character.
