The name or term "Sledge" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Sledge (disambiguation).
Sledge is a Decepticon Micromaster in the Generation 1 continuity family.
You could have a steam train, if you'd just lay down your tracks.

Sledge is a warrior first, and a builder second. While his construction work is professional, his first joy in life is scrapping his enemies. Like his teammate Stonecruncher, he displays a surprising amount of loyalty to the Constructor Squad. His combiner partner is Hammer.[1]

Tee Hee, their names are a pun! *giggle*
Sledge transforms into the front half of an orange dump truck which is intended to be combined with his partner Hammer to form a complete sledgehammer dump truck. He can, of course, be connected to any other Micromaster Combiner.
Sledge was only available in a six-pack with his squad mates Hammer, Excavator, Grit, Knockout and Stonechruncher.
His mold was also used to make his fellow Decepticon Terror-Tread.
