Oh, me so chibi.

Beast Wars Metals was a Japan-only comic (manga) published in Comic Bom Bom from November 1999 through April 2000, running simultaneously with the Japanese release of the second and third seasons of the Beast Wars TV series. The series was both written and drawn by Shōji Imaki. It is noted ("scorned" is not too strong a word) for its radical redesign of many of the characters. It follows the Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo manga series, allowing for some inevitable continuity flaws.

For once, the phrase "super deformed" is spot on.

For whatever reason, the Beast Wars Metals manga remains the only Beast Wars manga not to be collected and released in graphic novel format. With the cancellation of Comic Bom Bom in 2006, back issues have become highly sought after and difficult to obtain, even in Japan, making them a rare find for Westerners (who give a damn).
