Doctor Fujiyama, who reportedly is a man of some renown in the scientific world, built a ninja robot. Her name was Nightbird, and her purpose was to benefit mankind. However, the Decepticons stole her and reprogrammed her to be evil, so he locked her away for humanity's protection. Enter the Nightbird

Trivia

• In the script for Enter the Nightbird, Dr. Fujiyama the Famous Scientist's last name is consistently spelled "Fujiama," omitting the "y". However, as Fujiyama is (obsolete) Japanese for "Mt. Fuji", it is possible that the episode writer did not know the proper spelling of the word. His name is written as "Fujiyama" in the Wreckers comic.

• In the Japanese dub, his name is Hamada. The translators were likely thrown by the Fujiama misspelling.
