Convertor

Convertor is a Recyclon in the Generation 1 continuity.

Convertor is the helmsman of the Reclamation. He's not entirely satisfied with Salvage's leadership, but prefers to defy him via snark and sarcasm.

Convertor is large and broad-shouldered, with a glossy black exterior and a dome-shaped head. He combines with his comrades into the Prime Processing Unit.

While scouring the galaxy for recyclables, Assessor detected a large junk deposit, which Convertor initially scoffed at. That deposit, however, turned out to be the fabled Planet of Junk. Salvage landed the Reclamation on the planet's surface, where Convertor combined with his comrades into the Prime Processing Unit. Before they could begin converting the junk to energy, however, an army of Junkions, commanded by Wreck-Gar erupted from the ground. In the brief skirmish that followed, Convertor was struck by Wreck-Gar's decelerator laser and decapitated, but his components were carried back to the ship by Torch.

Back aboard the Reclamation, Convertor was repaired, and once more combined with his comrades into the Prime Processing Unit. But before they could begin processing Junk, a tractor beam dragged the Reclamation into the planet's surface, reducing the ship - and Convertor - to junk.
