This article is about the Decepticon ritual. For the Autobot ritual, see Rite of the Autobrand.
The Rite of the Deceptibrand is a ritual in the Transformers Animated continuity family.

The Rite of the Deceptibrand[1] is a ritual that is used by the Decepticons and involves branding their symbol into a new Transformer after an oath of loyalty is given. The branding is not exactly a painless procedure.

Once the Constructicons had proven their use, Megatron allowed them to undergo the Rite of the Deceptibrand to make them true Decepticons. Mixmaster and Scrapper recited the oath of loyalty, in response to which Megatron branded them with the Decepticon insignia. A Bridge Too Close, Part I
