Freezon is a Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Jeez, even Freezon isn't safe from FIRRIB.

Powered by the mysterious energy known as Nite-Glow, Freezon seems to have a thing for shining the light on her fellow Decepticons' interpersonal affairs.

Fiction

Transformers Animated

Freezon writes a gossip column for the trans-dimensional magazine Venus. In one particular issue, she dishes the dirt on Lugnut and Strika's relationship. The AllSpark Almanac

Toys

Generation 1

  • Transformers Electric Racing Set (198?)
Freezon was available with her slightly-retooled Autobot twin Natron, in Tyco's licensed Electric Racing Set. Both transform from functional electronic slot cars based on the third generation Ford Mustang to functional electronic slot robots via a simple two-step process. Their robot modes feature glow-in-the-dark plastics, as do the pieces of track with which they came packaged. Freezon sports a red body with yellow racing stripes.

Notes

  • Freezon was not named on any of the Electric Racing Set's packaging or paperwork, apparently having been solely referred to by that name on the set's television commercial. This spelling of her name was TFWiki's best guess and was later made official in the pages of The AllSpark Almanac, which also gave us her gender.
  • Freezon's head appears to be based on the Rumble/Frenzy/Enemy design.
  • Freezon's box-art (as seen at the top of the article) depicts her as a blue car rather than red. However, all of the product photography on the box is of the red toy contained within.
  • "MUSTANG" is printed on Freezon and Natron's windshields in big letters, but there is no indication anywhere on the set's packaging or instructions that Tyco got the proper licensing for the Mustang from Ford. (The box art of the car modes omits the windshield deco.)
