Scandalous! Won't someone think of the British children (who'll never see this toy in stores anyway)??

Spastic commands the Stunticon drones. He makes British people angry.

Toys

Power Core Combiners

  • Spastic with Stunticons (Power Core Combiners 5-pack, 2010)
    • Accessories: Race Car Drone, Tuner Drone, Armored Truck Drone, Armored Junker Drone
Spastic is a redeco of Leadfoot, transforming into futuristic race car and a torso mode for his four Stunticon drones to combine with. The Stunticons automatically transform from vehicles to limbs using Automorph Technology when clipped onto Spastic, and when detached, they transform back to vehicle mode. Like all Commanders, Spastic is also compatible with Mini-Cons.

Notes

  • Spastic's solicitation at online toy stores caused a storm of controversy in the Transformers fandom[1] due to the word "spastic" being used in the United Kingdom, Australia, and some other regions as a very derogatory word for people suffering from neurological disorders. The term has little pejorative impact in North America, which is probably why Hasbro, when asked about the name, responded that the company was unaware that the name could be offensive and certainly had meant no offense by it. They also said that this toy would not be made available via retail channels in Europe, including the United Kingdom.[2] And then Eric Siebenaler confirmed that "Spastic" would get a name change even though the toy was never scheduled for a UK release to begin with.
  • The controversy was picked up by tabloid newspapers in the United Kingdom, thanks to a self-appointed white knight: a UK Transformers fan who felt Hasbro should be "taught a lesson" by having the story spread to the mainstream press.[3] His message board signature image is about eating babies. The controversy was subsequently picked up by several comedians on TV and the radio.
