- General Motors is an automobile company from the Generation 1, Movie, and real world continuity families.
General Motors Company, also known as GM, is the largest auto company headquartered in the United States of America. Founded in 1908 in Flint, Michigan, the company is headquartered in Detroit, Michigan at present and presumably in the near future.<ref>Or not. [1]</ref> The company's U.S. brands have included Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Geo, Saturn, Buick and more. Currently GM's U.S. brands are down to Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, and Buick
On July 1, 2009, General Motors filed for US government-assisted bankruptcy protection with plans to emerge as a smaller, less debt-riddled company.

Transformers (2007)
Transformers: Rise of the Chevy Autobots
A small army of mass-produced Autobots are on Earth disguised as Chevy brand vehicles, under the command of Bumblebee. They must stop the Decepticon Mainframe, who eventually ended up on Earth after being exiled for a failed attempt to overthrow Megatron on Cybertron.
A General Motors scientist, Dina Morgan, made contact with the Autobots Flash and Ridge, and learnt about energon. She said in a report that energon could be the fuel of the 21st Century, but that got her targeted by Mainframe. She was used as bait to lure Bumblebee into a trap.Transformers: Rise of the Chevy Autobots

Merchandise
Transformers (2007)
- Jazz (2007 Pontiac Solstice)
- In association with Hasbro, DreamWorks, and GM (whew), Maxim magazine held a "Win Jazz" contest where one lucky reader would win a silver 2007 Pontiac Solstice equipped with the options used for Jazz in Transformers (2007), including the custom hardtop and spoiler otherwise never available on the 2007 model.
- GMC Topkick Ironhide Edition (model year 2008)
- This is a production line variant of the GMC Topkick C4500 crew cab medium-duty truck in black with the modifications Dreamworks made for the character Ironhide, though it retains the stock large side-view mirrors and orange lights.
Revenge of the Fallen
- Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee Edition (2009)
- Available in the LT and SS trim levels, this "appearance package" is an optional extra to give basic Transformers-inspired visual enhancements to the 2010 Chevy Camaro. Details include a rally-yellow paint job with black racing stripes (Bumblebee's actual three-tone paint costs more than the car, according to the Dreamworks production team's builders), as well as "special Transformers detailing" on the wheel caps, sill plates and console lid.
