Plasma cannons are weapons which fire bursts of plasma at opponents.
Fiction
Generation 1
Quake's primary weapon in tank mode is his turret-mounted plasma cannon with a range of 40 miles. His allies would be more impressed with it, if he wasn't just as likely to blow them up as a platoon of Autobots. Longtooth's inner robot is armed with a hand-held plasma cannon.
Beast Wars
The Axalon was equipped with a plasma cannon. When it became apparent that the ship was falling into an unnamed planet's atmosphere, Optimus Primal ordered that the plasma cannon be fired on the fleeing Darksyde. The blast successfully crippled the Predacon vessel. Beast Wars (Part 1)
The almighty Shokaract wields his own personal plasma cannon. Shokaract's toy bio
Universe
A plasma cannon was the alternate mode of an elderly robot. The Wreckers: Finale Part 1
Movie continuity
Plasma cannons are employed by both the Autobots and the Decepticons. Ghosts of Yesterday
Upon arriving on Earth, Starscream used his plasma cannon to destroy an F-22 Raptor that he had just scanned. Movie Prequel issue 4
Bumblebee's primary weapon is a plasma cannon, which he used to great effect against Brawl...as well as intimidating his former Sector Seven oppressors. Transformers
Games
War for Cybertron

The Plasma Cannon was a favored weapon of Scout and Cloaker class Transformers during the Great War. It released bolts that could be charged to higher intensity levels. The Plasma Cannon was most effective against big, slow-moving targets, like hovering Soldiers or Trypticon. Transformers: War for Cybertron
- Damage: 8
- Range: 8
- Accuracy: 7
- Rate of Fire: 3

- The Legacy of Bumblebee (Deluxe-Class multi-pack, 2008)
- Bumblebee (Dark of the Moon Walmart exclusive, 2011)
- This version of Deluxe-Class Bumblebee in his Concept Camaro form comes with a mostly accurate version of his plasma cannon as it appears in the movie, but for added play value, it can Automorph into an energy blade by opening up the halves of the gun barrel and swinging them back. The cannon can be held in either of his hands and can be stored in the gap between his legs in vehicle mode.
- Care should be taken when removing the cannon from Bumblebee's hands, as excessive force can damage the wrist ball joint socket.

- Bumblebee (Dark of the Moon Toys R Us exclusive, 2011)
- Bumblebee is a retool of the Deluxe-Class Camaro Concept Bumblebee mold. Among various changes, his right arm has been retooled to accommodate a built-in spring-loaded plasma cannon, replacing the converting plasma cannon/blade weapon from the previous version of this mold.
- Strangely, the missile for his right arm was slightly too long for the slot in the arm itself, so it either had to be slightly cut down to fit or the cannon had to be swiveled outwards to accommodate the missile. (This has been fixed in later releases, such as the European market).
Human Alliance

- Bumblebee / Sam Witwicky (2009)
- Bumblebee w/ Sam Witwicky (Transformers 2010, 2010)
- Bumblebee / Sam Witwicky (Dark of the Moon, 2011)
- Aside from coming with a posable figure of Sam Witwicky, Human Alliance Bumblebee features a spring-loaded plasma cannon for his left arm, which can fire the two missiles the figure comes with. The missiles are stored on the vehicle's running boards.
Ultimate

- Ultimate Bumblebee Battle Charged (2009)

- This version of Fast Action Battlers Bumblebee is a retool of 2007's Plasma Punch Bumblebee, with updated vehicle mode parts to reflect the changes in the prop Camaro vehicle, along with a new, more accurate head sculpt. The cannon's still there.

Battle Ops
- Battle Ops Bumblebee (2010)
- Battle Ops Bumblebee is a large (roughly leader size) new mold with "guardian" and "warrior" robot modes, which changes weapons and sound effects. He has a right arm that converts to a plasma cannon when his arm is straightened, and lights up and makes blasting noises when a button on his shoulder is pressed.

- Cyberfire Bumblebee (2011)
- Tritanium Bumblebee (Lucky Draw figure, 2011)
- Bumblebee is an entirely new figure. In addition to the cosmetic changes made to the vehicle mode and robot mode to resemble the third movie's altered visual design, this Bumblebee also comes with a MechTech weapon. When a lever is pulled back on the "Blaster" weapon, it opens up into a larger "Plasma Cannon", but it springs back into its original position once the lever is left alone. The MechTech weapon can be held in his hands, attach via 5mm pegholes/MechTech ports on his forearms, or plug in a "concealed" 5mm peghole on the vehicle mode's roof.

He features five MechTech ports in vehicle mode: one on the hood, two of the roof and two behind his rear wheels. In robot mode, both of his arms have one MechTech port each, and the ports from vehicle mode can still be used.

Transformers (2007)

- Bumblebee AllSpark Blaster (2008)
- The Bumblebee AllSpark Blaster is one of several Movie Roleplay toys. The toy consists of a blaster attached to Bumblebee's (hollow) hand which a child can slip their own hand inside like a glove and wield. Pulling the trigger causes the toy to emit transformation sounds, allowing the user to transform the toy weapon from laser blaster mode to plasma cannon mode, by pulling the handle on the back. Laser blaster mode features laser pulse sounds and a "laser flare beam" (lights), while the plasma cannon mode has "plasma pulse lights" and explosion sounds.
Unleashed

- Bumblebee (2007)
- Unleashed Bumblebee is a sculpture of Bumblebee in his Camaro Concept body, in an action pose, standing with his freshly fired plasma cannon atop the wrecked remains of a somewhat super-deformed car. Like most of the other products in the Unleashed line, he became a notorious shelfwarmer.
Revenge of the Fallen

- Bumblebee Plasma Cannon (2009)
- The Plasma Cannon is a stylized version of Bumblebee's fist that converts to a plasma cannon roleplay toy when the barrel is slid forward or the trigger is pulled. When fired, a ring of red lights around the barrel flashes (totally awesome). If the trigger is only pulled half-way, a "charging" sound is made. There is also an Autobot sigil on the side that, when pressed, causes sound effects to be heard. These include conversion noises, a revving engine, and clips from Stan Bush's "The Touch" (also awesome, but only in the "Try Me" setting, which is not quite as awesome).

- Bumblebee vs. Barricade (2007)

Mini-Vehicles

- Bumblebee (2010)
- Bumblebee (Cyber Hunt, 2010)
- Bumblebee (N.E.S.T. Global Alliance, 2010)
- Bumblebee (Stunticon, 2010)
- Nightwatch Bumblebee VS Patrol Barricade (2010)
- Bumblebee Track Set (2010)
- Bumblebee (Beast Machines, 2011)
- These are the many, many redecoes of the RPM Speed Series Bumblebee mold with less paint details and with the Autobot insignia on the base of his vehicle mode not being included. The plasma cannon remains, though.

- Bumblebee (2010?)
- Series: Robot Riders
- Number: 0? of 03
- Unlike all other SpeedStars Bumblebees, this one is sculpted in his robot mode. He's in a kneeling position with his gun in front of him, and can roll back and forth due to wheels under his legs. The placement of his plasma cannon is... unfortunate.
