It wasn't just attendies to the dinners that got the talking Arcee boxes. Neither my brother or I went to that and we have two Arcee's that talk every time my parents open their closet to this day. It's been a while but could it have been all PreReges. that got them? Cause that we did do. ZacWilliam 13:27, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

That's weird. I'm pretty sure they were staying that the talky-thing was a dinner-only thing. Maybe some got out.
At any rate, jsut a note for future reference... I'm gonna be upping the h-size of the "main" images on pages up to 250px wide rather than stick with the default thumbnail size. I figure they deserve some more space. (Assuming the images are larger enough to support that.) --M Sipher 23:40, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
No, Zac's right. It was pre-reg only, not dinner only. --ItsWalky 00:04, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
If I remember my botcon reports- weren't they unveailed at the dinner? that might be what you're remembering... -Derik 04:26, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

I recall reading somewhere that Arcee's Strength was 6, which is ridiculous as she was female. 6 for a female has got to be equivalent to 10+ for a male.71.34.68.213 22:06, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

She's a robot. --Andrusi 23:18, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

A.R.C.

I know nobody likes the guy, but should some note be made of Hal's A.R.C. toy? Or should 'official' be added to the description of the BotCon Arcee? Oh, and no affiliation with RSP, despite our shared association with tree-rats. Squirrelcar 11:47, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Nah, not official so its not mentioned. --FFN 16:32, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Model Kit art

Hrgh. That model kit art totally doesn't belong in the Marvel Comics section. But there's no where appropriate to move it to. But I don't want it to leave! --ItsWalky 06:18, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Let's keep it here for now:
S.O.B's shot my Leia-buns!
Can't is go in the animated section? It's Japan, they meant for it to be in animated continuity. -Derik 07:21, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Not *their* animated continuity. The instructions featured art of our Powermaster Optimus Prime model, crazy enough. --ItsWalky 15:29, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Derik's suggestion might work, but if it came with the model kit, why not put it (with, of course, some mention of the model kit) down under Merchandise? --Sntint 08:16, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Are the Axis comic online somewhere? I wants a link. -Derik 17:21, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes. Please. I've been wanting to read them forever. My Hidetsugu Yoshioka wuv needs fulfilment. --DrSpengler 17:30, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

I've uploaded the Arcee and Elita One comics. I don't seem to have a copy of Hot Rod's, which is a shame since it has by far the best Engirsh. They're probably not really fair use, and the scans are stolen anyway, so if they need to be taken down, feel free to do so. I couldn't find the actual scans on seibertron itself anymore. -LV 18:52, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Translate book titles! ^_^ -Derik 17:56, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Since there's no furigana I've gotta break out my kanji fast-finder to translate thoes book titles. I'll get to that sooner or later, but first I've got some manga to finish for the Archive.

PS, thanks for the comics, LV! --DrSpengler 19:21, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

"They're not men, Arcee. We've been over this!" What, they're DEVO? --Zodberg 21:10, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

QUESTION: where do her wheels go when she is in robot form? Is she a hovercar without wheels? 24.193.123.96 07:29, 8 May 2009 (EDT) confused

They go into subspace. LokitheGrammarNazi 11:54, 25 August 2010 (EDT)

"Ancestor"?

she also just might be one of Rattrap's ancestors

I'm not sure "great-aunt" is technically an "ancestor", since Rattrap isn't descended from her (she's not his grandmother). Possibly we should say "Rattrap's relatives"? JW 14:03, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Somewhat agree with this, but you have to remember transformers' lifetimes can span millennia... it's feasible calling her an ancestor, but perhaps "descendant" is a better word? Kudos to: Steve-o for hitting up the reference for this one.Bento180 16:01, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm unclear on what you mean, since "ancestor" and "descendant" are opposites. Regardless, since Arcee is not Rattrap's mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, etc., she's not technically his ancestor, and he's not technically her descendant. They're just relatives.
Recommend changing the sentence to "she also just might be one of Rattrap's relatives" or "also, Rattrap claims to be her great-nephew". JW 16:21, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Apologies, I meant calling Rattrap a descendent of Arcee. I agree in that calling them realtives might be more correct, however it is possible for Autobots to be siblings (ie. Ultra Magnus and Prime as brothers) If he calls her his great aunt, then we should go with it. I don't see a problem with that, we may as well be precise.
Um, I think use "relative" would be better, since an ancestor is a parent or the parent of an ancestor and Rattrap calls Arcee "great-aunt" instead of "great-granny". --TX55 17:10 , 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Agreed. done.

"The Metamorphosis"

So, what are the rules about adding info from unpublished stories? I have a little synopsis of what this story was supposed to be about from Dan Khanna that I though might be good to add...Lightsyder 17:01, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Binaltech Arcee

It's confirmed by non photoshopped images now. The figure was shown at the Shizuoka Hobby Show 2008. It's not a retool. [1]--RosicrucianTalk 20:07, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

And now there's official stock photography showing the same. I haven't changed the text yet, but I will unless people object.--RosicrucianTalk 14:51, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
The existing text is abit too much like a news post, though. I would prefer to ditch the text and merely saw what we officially know at the moment, and pad it out with more general descriptions of the toy, like we do for other toy sections. --FFN 15:57, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

On Genders

As an asexual and mono-gendered race, the Transformers are technically female. So if they created Arcee as a means to explore gender duality, as I heard someone suggest once, that means she's a dude. What a pretty man, though. :) 213.66.207.185 05:53, 6 September 2009 (EDT)

Your definition of "technically female" is waaaay off. Noviere 12:35, 6 September 2009 (EDT)
Pretty much everything in that entire above post is waaaay off.--76.28.72.27 13:45, 6 September 2009 (EDT)
Oh so Arcee's male? That must be why she's called a female Autobot then. Seriously we need facepalm smilies on here.Dead Metal 14:12, 6 September 2009 (EDT)

A new main image, with photoshop?

Arcee's main image is beautifully rendered, yet, uh, kind of ridiculously over-sexified. "HEY COME HAVE SEX WITH ME" she says, beckoning you into her crotch. So, hey, maybe if we manage to clean this up a bit, we'll have a new one. --ItsWalky 11:11, 31 January 2010 (EST)

I really hate the high heels Japanese art persisted in giving Arcee back in the day... - Chris McFeely 11:19, 31 January 2010 (EST)
Not just the Japanese, not just Arcee, not just back in the day. As for the image, it's nice, but hardly an improvement imo. Her pose still is somewhat invitive, with an exaggerated chest and an attention-grabbing hand on her leg. If Arcee is to get a new main image, I'd prefer something else. Geewunling 11:52, 31 January 2010 (EST)
I really don't think this is nearly as "invitive" as you claim. If it's "invitive," it's only, say, 10% as "invitive" as our current image. Anyway, Monzo got me a cleaner copy without the English, and that was an easy thing to clean up. I think we should use it. --ItsWalky 12:23, 31 January 2010 (EST)
We're disagreeing a lot these days, aren't we? D: Then again, I only said "somewhat". I'm neutral to a switch; you guys decide whether it should be done or not. Geewunling 12:30, 31 January 2010 (EST)
I don't think it is a terribly good likeness of her. She doesn't look much like Arcee from the shoulders up. Very pale face. Blank eyes. Shoulder wings. Weird super-sized helmet... and no lipstick :) - Starfield 13:14, 31 January 2010 (EST)
While neither image really seem to capture her personality as a warrior, the Magami piece at least takes it as far as "minx", whereas the Yoshioka piece is all sorts of slutty. Plus, this one has her alt mode in it, so okay. --Spengs (at work, can't log in)
Yes. Make the change. --KilMichaelMcC 12:41, 31 January 2010 (EST)

Is it too late to recommend the Alex Milne cover for Spotlight: Arcee? Damn. :) --Xaaron 13:40, 31 January 2010 (EST)

Since we're not unanimously deeply enthusiast of this image, another option stays a possibility. I, however, prefer the new image over anything relating to "Spotlight: Arcee". It better approaches Arcee-ICness than the spotlight. Geewunling 13:50, 31 January 2010 (EST)
Xaaron is, of course, joking. Besides, it's a redesign, not something based on her first body, so it's ineligible anyway. --ItsWalky 13:51, 31 January 2010 (EST)
  • Sigh* I am ever so terrible at separating joke from real. Sorry for that. But... the Spotlight version isn't that far off her original body. I know we have a first body-policy, but does it cover even that level of difference? Geewunling 13:56, 31 January 2010 (EST)
I've seen some fanart of the two designs side-by-side. It's actually quite noticeably different while still managing to look 'overall' the same.
As for this change... I'm neutral to it. I find this art a bit lifeless, but it's darker pink (splitting the difference between the baby-girl pink of the cartoon and the burgundy of IDW) and while the old arrt was pretty iconic... it wasn't actually GOOD. (I want to say that that replaced the Pat Lee cheesecake poster...) I'm okay with it anyway. -Derik 15:30, 31 January 2010 (EST)

Does it stand for anything?

My dad, being the annoying old man he is, wants me to see what "RC" stands for even though I've explained it isn't spelled like that and it doesn't stand for anything. Does anyone have any suggestions what it could stand for? --Ninjabot33 05:51, 13 June 2010 (EDT)

"Race Car." --ItsWalky 07:31, 13 June 2010 (EDT)
Or "Race Cycle" for certain iterations.  :) --Nu-Priest 11:08, 13 June 2010 (EDT)
Sometimes it's "Remote Controlled" as a prefix to "car". If that was a feature in the continuity, that would have been pretty cool. LokitheGrammarNazi 11:50, 25 August 2010 (EDT)
I could have sworn it stood for "Radio Controlled." At least up here, there used to be tonnes of ads for "RC cars." -- Semysane 15:12, 12 December 2010 (EST)
