Overview
The story revolves around the Super Stunt Team, as they awaken on Earth and fight to free the Mini-Cons from their dark creator. They find an ally in Stella Holley, a human who helps them assimilate to Earth and accomplish their goals. As they recover more of their old friends, they must prepare to take the battle to Unicron, leaving Earth and their new ally behind.
Linkage is notable for weaving a complex background and behind-the-scenes story for the Mini-Cons of the Armada cartoon, while working seamlessly within the bounds of the Armada cartoon. In fact, some fans find Linkage to be quite a bit more sophisticated and enjoyable than the cartoon it was based on. Its clean art and designs also provided something of a contrast with the Dreamwave comics being published at the time.
Having an astonishingly hot 26 year old redhead as a central character didn't hurt much, either.
Creative Team
The entire series was written, penciled, inked, colored and lettered by long-time Japanese fan-turned-pro Hirofumi Ichikawa.
