'''Sideswipe''' says he is the best swordsman in the ''universe''. He also claims to be the secret weapon of the [[Autobot]]s except that the [[Decepticon]]s know about him. His hobby is sharpening his swords. And Sideswipe's biggest fear is anything his swords can't cut through. He claims that that's nothing.

The name or term "Sideswipe" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Sideswipe (disambiguation).
Sideswipe is an Autobot from the Kre-O continuity family.
Note the lack of anything resembling a sword.

Sideswipe claims to be the best swordsman in the universe, and would totally be the secret weapon of the Autobots if only the Decepticons didn't already know about him. His hobby is sharpening his swords, and his biggest fear is anything his swords can't cut through. But he claims that that's nothing.

Kre-O cartoon

During the holiday season, Sideswipe and Optimus Prime sneaked a Bumblebee Kre-O set into Megatron's pile of presents, so Bumblebee could surprise the Decepticon leader. They later went and did the same to Starscream. A Gift For Megatron

Kre-O comic

Sideswipe was supposed to search for the legendary Red Bucket alongside Bluestreak and Jazz, only to get himself lost in a forest. By the time he found the bucket, it was empty: the other two had beaten him to it and taken all the blocks home. Treasure Competition! Defeat with Block Power! Optimus Prime later borrowed Sideswipe's jetpack without permission, causing him much distress. Two Giant Bases! Everybody Getting Along, Come On, Fight!

Toys

Kre-O

  • Sideswipe (2011)
    • Set number: 31771
    • Pieces: 220
    • Kreons: Sideswipe, Driver
    • Accessories: Rifle
Sideswipe can be built in either robot or G1 inspired car mode. His head sculpt is heavily based on Universe Sideswipe's head design, but as a first for a Sideswipe toy with a primarily red body, the head is not colored black, but red like the Generation 2-inspired BotCon 2010 customization class version's head. He comes with two Kreons: a Sideswipe based on the Generation 1 character and a generic driver.
Like many other Kre-O sets, his stock photography shows a different robot mode construction than the final product. The most noticeable example are his lower legs which have a much less awkward construction in the stock photos rather than the final product which is rather odd. Whether this is the photographer taking creative liberty or if the set design changed is yet to be seen. The stock photography also depicts the set as including the Red Alert Kreon in place of Sideswipe.

  • Ultimate Vehicle Pack (2012)
    • Set number: A4583
    • Pieces: 279
    • Kreons: Bluestreak, Jazz, Sideswipe
    • Accessories: Rifle
Unchanged versions of Kreon Sideswipe and Bluestreak were also included in the Ultimate Vehicle Pack, a bucket containing the Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Jazz sets.

Notes

  • Sideswipe's obsession with swords is based on his movie counterpart's weapons of choice... yet his toy doesn't actually come with any swords.
