Shigeru Chiba (千葉 繁 Chiba Shigeru) is a veteran Japanese voice actor. He was born as Masaharu Maeda (前田正治, Maeda Masaharu) on February 4, 1954 in Kikuchi, Kumamoto, Japan. He has also worked as a stunt man and sound effects director. He is now employed by the talent management firm 81 Produce.
Some of his better known anime roles are Kazuma Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho, the Fist of the North Star TV series Narrator, Buggy the Clown in One Piece, Corset in Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Megane in Urusei Yatsura, Professor Hiragi in Mon Colle Knights, Yotsuya in Maison Ikkoku, and Pilaf & Raditz from Dragon Ball.
In the world of dubbing, he has played Janosz in Ghostbusters II, Wedge Antilles in the Star Wars trilogy, Beast in the TV Tokyo dub of Saban's X-Men, Victor Sullivan in the Uncharted video game series, and Discord in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
