Synopsis

As the Autobots and an Angel confront each other, a mysterious shadow appears—the ghost of Starscream! The disembodied spark has continued to wander the universe since the battle against Unicron years ago. The spark possesses the Angel, both becoming a fused form called "Angel"-scream. With his newfound power, Starscream threatens to destroy the Autobots, Optimus Prime in particular.

In response to this confusing sequence of events, Misato Katsuragi gives the order for Eva-01 to be activated, and New Tokyo-3 shifts to deploy the Evangelion unit.
