Corey Burton (born Corey Gregg Weinberg on August 3, 1955) is an American voice actor. He has a very prolific portfolio: some of his most recognized roles over the years have been Tomax from G.I. He also frequently provides voice to Disney's many legacy characters, including Dale (of Chip 'n Dale), Professor Ludwig von Drake and Captain Hook, among other roles.

Notes
- Burton based Shockwave's voice on that of actor David Warner—specifically, Warner's turn as the cold, mechanical Sark from Disney's Tron, a character that Burton himself would actually later voice in the Kingdom Hearts video games.
- Burton stated in an interview that Shockwave was by far his favorite character to perform in the original show. He does however think Animated Shockwave could take Generation 1 Shockwave in a fight.
- You should thank him as it was his wish to do more of Shockwave that Transformers Animated even got one in the first place.
- Although Steve Blum voiced Shockwave in the " War for Cybertron" game, Burton performed the character for a Gamestop commercial. In a forum post about the recording session, Burton lamented that the performance was so rushed, and the "gag" nature so out of character, that he felt it hardly even sounded like him.[1]
- Burton was offered the chance to audition for Jazz and Brawl (whether that's the police car Brawl, the helicopter Brawl or tank Brawl isn't certain) for the 2007 Transformers live-action film but declined, explaining "[I] have practically no interest in that kind of mega-budget movie enterprise involvement".[2]
- Burton was one of the eight voice actors featured in Shout! Factory's cast reunion in the 25th Anniversary "Matrix of Leadership" Collection of the original series.
