- "Objective journalism is one of the main reasons American politics has been allowed to be so corrupt for so long. You can't be objective about Nixon." - H.S. Thompson

Derik talks a good game, but he's really a big softy that goes all squooshy inside at the sight of kittens or Emo Boys kissing.
They're not just doing it for attention!
Derik can't spell woth a danm. Did you know Mozilla 2.0 has MS Word-style spell check on textarea boxes?
Feel free to yell at him on AIM: ReGenesis0
Things not to message Derik about: (culled from actual conversation)
- "I just sent an e-mail to the executive producer telling him what he needs to do better."
- "Did you delete my post?"
- "I had drunken sex with another dude at a furry convention in Canada, what do I do?"
He's also apparently a Mut-Org, whatever the hell that is.
Episode article style
Do we have a definative established style for the episode entries? Lately I've been editing the Armada ones to reflect the look of the new G1 episode articles. Also, I think the RID episodenav looks abit cluttered and would rather if it was just 'Preceeded by [episode number and name/link] Suceeded by [episode number and name/link]. --FFN 02:49, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Cluttered in what manner? 'prev episode' and 'next episode' being too close together? I agree they could use some air. -Derik 06:44, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, they were abit too close together. Needed to be more clearly seperated.
Re: Pics from other sites
If you admittedly borrow pics from other sites, particularly if its their own photography, please leave a link to the site on the image's page, just for some consistency when we wiki users borrow pics. --FFN 06:07, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Don't just credit, link, gotcha.
- I appreciate the tangley ethical implications, and I try to avoid gloming others' pictures unless there's a compelling reason for it- especially TFU since their pictures are their content to a greater degree. In this case they had just the angle on Blastcharge I needed. ;-) -Derik 06:18, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
To-Do List
- Preach the gospel of Yakitate!! Japan
- Find gayer userpic
- Send in that timesheet to Pat Hamilton
- Finish Chain of Command summary.
- Deep think: Top-level banner for declaring a page 'completionist' as of a date because it covers every single thing about that episode/story/character? How to make when a new info makes a page no-longer-complete? In general, how do we prioritize people's attention to things? Cleanup cat doesn't seem to be resulting in cleanup taking place. (This may become less of a problem as the holes in the wiki disappear and the precieved lack becomes less pressing- right now peopel are throwign themselves onto gaps like an armed grenade with no tim for cleanup of articles already written.) "Articles in need of expansion"? Dangerous.
- A PHP script to scan through the image on the wiki and list which of them have no copyright info, or copyright year and put them in a category? (A low-effort improvement drive, but an important one, from a legal standpoint.)
- World of the Transformers page
- Point one of our aspiring list-makes ar the 2007 page and make him fill in the toy section.
- Do a 1984 page like the 2007 page. The BW-years would be easiest after this.
- Prelude: Optimus Prime
- Titan Magazines comic 'overall' page.
- Call Lutzwick about prescription
- Check TRU for Amar, mail that wrong power source back to supplier. (Print e-bay communication for context since they provided no invoice.)
- Abstract for Maddie's college-search site.
- Do the retouch on that God Neptune art. (2-3 hours)
- Scan and catalog covers to my other JP guides.
- Items in need of translation front-pagery?
- Define what 'English language Wiki' means re: our policy about what we will/won't link to on onr external links pages. I.e. translated manga are fine, marvel comcis scans are not (not that you can find them anymore) unless they've never been collected, we dont' link tot he BW eps on YouTube, etc. Maybe two seperate policy sections, english-language, and external links/resources, maybe even a attitude-towards-piracy section. (I probably shouldn't write that though because... me.)
