Twins are a special relationship between Transformers in the live-action film continuity family.

Two Transformers that are twins have a special relationship to each other. The two are intimately linked. Their relationship is so close, they consider the other to be their other half. When the situation warrants it, the twins can rejoin into one mechanical unit.

When one twin dies, the other feels a temporary surge of pain, but continues on afterwards by himself.
