Sharp Edge is a raging warrior on the brink of psychotic. He prefers to frighten the mortal hell out of his enemies to gain the mental edge before he strikes. His drive to fight, however, reveals his insecurity. Sharp Edge believes that fighting is all that proves you are alive and secretly does not wish for the war to end. He fears that he may cease to exist if this happens. Sharp Edge never questions his orders and follows them to the letter, but is always dragged down by that nagging feeling that if he does too good a job he will no longer exist.

Toys

Beast Wars Neo

ATTENTION DUELISTS!
  • Sharp Edge (Deluxe, 1999)
    • Japanese ID number: C-37
    • Accessories: Shark head, shark tail, 2 missiles
Sharp Edge is a retool of Cybershark, transforming into a sawshark. The toy incorporates two spring-loaded gimmicks; the "saw" portion of the shark head fires like a missile, and the tail includes a spring-loaded switchblade weapon. Both weapons are usable in robot mode; the tail-blade becomes a hand-held weapon, while the missile launcher flips up from his chest. His shark-head missile can be held as a melee weapon, as can two "normal" missiles stored in his back behind his head.
The Cybershark mold was also retooled to make Hellscream and Universe Overbite.

The Sawshark Redemption
  • Sharp Edge vs. Hardhead (Multi-pack, 1999)
    • Japanese ID number: VS-37
    • Accessories: Shark head, shark tail, 2 missiles
Sharp Edge was also available in a two-pack with Hardhead. Both toys are identical to their standard releases.
