Rook is a Transcendent Technomorph from the TransTech continuity.

Rook is an investigative journalist for Axiom Nexus News. A dedicated reporter determined to find the truth, Rook has an unfortunate tendency towards stubbornness, jumping to conclusions and paranoid beliefs in conspiracies by the TransTech leadership - beliefs which are, of course, completely unfounded.

He also has been known to shout at confused old men and accuse them of being ancient Primes, and can be distracted by bots with beautiful eyes.

Rook was a field reporter for ANN's Around Cybertron newsfeed in the TransTech city of Axiom Nexus. He reported on Ruckus, Needlenose, and Crankcase's bungled attempt to rob an "energon refinery" that turned out to be a waste fuel depot. Rook stepped in something horrible in the process, but the anchor-bot Andromeda didn't seem to notice. During his many reports for ANN, Rook covered many subjects, and had a few adventures of his own:

• He managed to avoid a traffic jam at the Hydra Loop thanks to a call-in tip from a certain “Tip-Point 37.”
• He reported on a new oil find in Sym-phur. He quoted Rapticon Dinotron about the issues on “conservation” brought up by this new discovery.
• He interviewed the offworlder Krok on the topic of mecha-soccer players Kickstart and Heavyfoot.
• He talked about Equinicon racing, and the black mark the sport had recently received via rumors of cheating plaguing the once-beloved sport.
• He treated his viewers to a special edition of ANN Tonight, where he investigated what made Axiom Nexus so great. During this special series of reports, he covered the events that first alerted their ancestors to the existence alternate universe, the creation of the “Dux non Intruitus” decree, and the more recent formation of the Convoy. He also covered the “mass reemergence” of the Mini-Cons to Axiom Nexus, and talked about both Optimus’s and Megatron’s rise in politics.
• He interviewed Rhinox about the nature of the latter’s job as cataloger and analyzer of the multiverse.
• He reported on Heinrad’s time travel shenanigans.
• He went on a rant about Starscream’s questionable bureaucracy.
