Eagle Eye (G1)
| This article is about the Generation 1 Autobot Micromaster. For the Generation 1/Generation 2 Decepticon Skyscorcher, who in Japanese continuity is the same character as this guy, see Eagle Eye (G2). |
| The name or term "Hawk" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Hawk (disambiguation). |
- Eagle Eye is an Autobot Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Eagle Eye lives up to his name when it comes to aerial combat. His exceptional vision, capable of focusing on tiny objects up to 20 miles away, allows him to lock his weapons systems onto any target he can see. Despite his amazing visual acuity, he seems to turn a blind optic to the various interpersonal issues among the Air Patrol, the team under his supervision. They just flat-out don't get along, and Eagle Eye does nothing to try and make them work things out. He barely even gives them orders, for that matter. He's practically the team's commander in title only. He reasons that it ultimately doesn't matter, because despite it all, the Air Patrol is still one of the Autobots' most effective aerial defense forces, and to his way of thinking, that's far more important than everyone getting along.[1]
He has also gone by the aliases Hawk and Eclipse.
Fiction
IDW Generation 1 continuity
Eagle Eye was one of the legions of Dead Universe Micromasters who pursued Hardhead and Nightbeat on Gorlam Prime. He survived to confront Hardhead with the Jhiaxus-controlled Nightbeat in the planet's subterranean tunnels, but failed to prevent the Autobot from escaping into the Dead Universe. Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity
e-HOBBY comics
By the year 2034, Eagle Eye had left the Autobots behind and joined forces with the splinter faction of Decepticons led by the High Regent Scrash, bringing with him the secrets of the Autobots' newly-developed Power Core Combination technology. Upgraded into a new body, Eagle Eye was charged with locating the Decepticon outlaw Magnificus, so that Scrash could exploit his psychometric powers. He located Magnificus just as the fugitive was in battle with Oilmaster on the outskirts of Iron Town, and stepped in to dispatch his quarry's opponent. Eagle Eye then introduced himself as "Hawk" and offered Magnificus the chance to join his faction. Leaving him to ponder the idea, Eagle Eye supplied him with some energon and a repair kit and went on his way. Badlands
Metrowars
At some point after Scrash's defeat, Eagle Eye was one of the Decepticons stationed aboard Metrotitan and was part of a Decepticon assault on Scramble City. They were forced to retreat when the Autobots showed off the power of a reborn Metroplex. Metrowars

Notes

- Most—if not all—of the toys pictured in the 1990 Hasbro Transformers catalog are unfinished prototypes or mock-ups, and a variety of differences from final product pop up. In Eagle Eye's case, the main difference is that the catalog has him with a red robot mode face rather than the final toy's yellow.
- Eagle Eye's vehicle-mode art in issue #2 of the More than Meets the Eye profile books is actually Generation 2 Skyscorcher Eagle Eye's jet mode in the Generation 1 character's base colors, with the Skyscorcher's black stripes added. For the trade paperback, this art was heavily edited to better resemble the Micromaster.
