Barricade (Movie)

Barricade is a Decepticon in the Movie continuity family.

He's always Bad Cop.

Barricade is apparently a complicated robot. He's considered "fractious" even by Decepticon standards, yet is willing to give Starscream the benefit of the doubt and follow where he leads, at least for now. Though not totally dedicated to the service of the Decepticon's current leader, he is much more cautious and reserved about expressing mutinous dissent than most. In a lot of ways this makes him Starscream's closest ally in the (naturally combative) Decepticon ranks. Then again, it's been said that he likes to trick people into trusting him, just so he can see their reactions when they find out just how much that was a bad idea, so that may all be him just laying groundwork.

Barricade acts as pilot and science officer for the Nemesis. He apparently possesses an impressive "mastery of physics" and is pretty bright. Like most of his fellow Decepticons, he also enjoys attacking Autobots.

Perhaps the most CG-accurate sculpt of all the characters from the movie, Barricade transforms into Saleen S281 Ford Mustang Custom Police Pursuit Cruiser. He does not have any Automorph gimmick to speak of; in its place is a spring-loaded extending left-armed "punch" gimmick, along with a Frenzy mini-figure which folds up and stores in his chest as part of the car grill in both vehicle and robot mode. Sweet.

• Barricade (Legends of Cybertron, 2007)

A much smaller version of the character, Legends Barricade transforms into Saleen S281 Ford Mustang police cruiser with limited articulation and detail. Compared to the other Movie Legends, Barricade is quite close in appearance and transformation to the larger toy.

• Bumblebee vs. Barricade: First Encounter (Deluxe Multi-pack, 2007)

An identical Deluxe class Barricade (already packaged in robot mode) included with an unchanged Deluxe class Bumblebee exclusive to Wal-Mart.
