G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers

Shortly after the creation of G.I. Joe, Quick Kick had a friendly sparring match with Roadblock, claiming that he'd show the other Joes why his codename was accurate. Roadblock joked that "Slow Punch" would be more fitting, but before either of them won the fight, they were both challenged by Snake-Eyes. Despite their confidence, the agile ninja defeated them within seconds. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #2

A short while later, Quick Kick was set to guard the inside of the SPS Research Facility alongside Mutt and his dog Junkyard, but all three were knocked out by an invisible Zartan when Cobra attacked. Upon waking up, they followed their assailant's footsteps, only to run straight into Ravage. Quick Kick's martial art skills proved ineffective against the robotic jaguar, but thankfully it ran away before they had to resort to a suicide attack with a grenade. After cracking a joke, Quick Kick helped drag the injured Mutt away, only for Firefly to blow up the building with the Joes still inside. Quick Kick was later reported to have survived with minor injuries. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #3 He recovered in time to participate in G.I. Joe's attack on Cobra Island. His team arrived on the island already in chaos as the Autobots, Decepticons, and Cobra troops fought a three-way brawl. Quick Kick paraglided down to earth, and joined the scuffle on the Autobots' side.G.I. Joe vs. The Transformers #5 He was among the soldiers who took on Megatron himself, though it was Optimus Prime who ultimately defeated the tyrant. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #6

Roughly two years later, Quick Kick was among the Joes asked to assist dealing with Serpent O.R. on Cybertron. The Art of War #3

Quick Kick participated in a crackdown on a Cobra smuggling facility on New York City, but things went awry when Cobra retaliated with Flight Pods. As he flipped away from a missile blast, Quick Kick commented that the machines were like something out of a Twilight Zone episode. Targets of Opportunity

His belt doesn't go all the way around.

Quick Kick was among a group of Joes who went to a carnival. He was handed a hammer by Wild Bill, however despite doing a somersault, he was unable to win at a "ring the bell" strongman contest. Moments later he and the other Joes watched open-mouthed as the Terrorcons combined into Abominus and smashed the game so hard it broke. Carnival Face Off

Quick Kick was part of a Joe strike force. Their mission: to raid the town of Springfield, secretly a Cobra hide-out. After rounding-up the Cobra agents in the town, Quick Kick and the Joes received their next assignment; to travel to and infiltrate the planet Cybertron, its inhabitants having proved themselves hostile. The Joes began their attack on Cybertron by sending down "green bombs" from the air. But when they targeted the mobile city of Trypticon, they found it protected by a forcefield. Their attempt to bomb it provoked a counter-attack from the Decepticons. Quick Kick escaped the Defiant's destruction, and made it back to Green Zone 0-8-6, the Joes' temporary base on the alien world. Targetmasters

When Wheeljack stumbled into one of the perimeter traps protecting the Joes' camp, Quick Kick stood guard while his fellow Joes vivisected the Cybertronian. Wheeljack began spouting snippets of Earth broadcasts as the humans operated on him, leading Quick Kick to question if he wasn't pleading with his captives to stop. When Wheeljack relayed a presidential speech, Scarlett acquiesced that he might indeed be sentient and tabled Wheeljack's dissassembly. Just then, Wheeljack's friends to burst in on the scene and launch an offensive against the Joes. The humans returned fire, until blasts from both sides rendered all combatants unconscious. Funeral for a Friend

Both teams eventually awakened and readied to take up arms once more when Grimlock showed up, accompanied by Breaker, Jinx, Cover Girl and Clutch. Grimlock declared a truce between the Joes and the Autobots had been reached, and both factions partied together to cement their alliance. Form Follows Function

After several Joes and Autobots were taken captive by the Decepticobra alliance, Quick Kick participated in an attack on the Astrotrain in an effort to free them. Though they were unsuccessful in busting anyone out, Quick Kick, Scarlett, Beachhead and Steeler managed to hitch a ride atop of the train, all the way to the city of Scorponok. Expelled from the Garden But once they arrived, the Joes were subjected to mind-manipulation tactics by "Doctor Mindelbender." Quick Kick was made to think that none of his adventures with G.I. Joe had ever happened, and that he was instead a normal suburbanite from the town of Springfield. Scarlett managed to hold on to her identity throughout the process, and helped free the others from the illusion they were being held under. Together, the Joes rounded up the Autobots (locked in their vehicle modes and in an unresponsive state) and busted their way out of the city built into Scorponok's back. Headmasters While the Joes had been inside Scorponok, Optimus Prime had returned to Cybertron to liberate his people. Quick Kick witnessed Prime be slain by Megatron, and subsequently plummet down into the bowels of Cybertron. Pax Megatronus
