Maccadam
| This article is about the Transformer bartender from many continuities. For the human general from Animated, see Macadam. |
- Maccadam is a bar owner on Cybertron in nearly every continuity family.

Maccadam is the manager of Maccadam's Old Oil House. Maccadam is largely unseen by the populace of Cybertron, and he is rumoured to be one of the thirteen original Transformers by its drunken patrons. (His bar serves "exceptionally pure oil," after all.) He has strict in-house rules against fighting within its confines.

Maccadam was working the night Quickswitch was meant to meet his Decepticon contact to receive information vital to the Autobot resistance. Unfortunately the party was crashed by a pair of Mecannibals (on the trail of Dreadwind and Darkwing) who had eaten Rocky. Quickswitch fought off the Mecannibals, levelling the building in the process. Out to Lunch!

Notes
- A macadam is a type of pavement predating modern asphault, made of crushed stone that's compacted into layers then bound with tar. Maccadam's name might have been derived from this, although it's spelled with an additional "c".
- Maccadam's Old Oil House has been shown to exist within multiple Generation 1 continuities, the Unicron Trilogy continuities, the Movie continuity, the Transformers Animated cartoon continuity and the Aligned continuity novels. Logically, this means Maccadam exists within all those universes, but he has only shown up personally in the Aligned novel Retribution, where he is discovered as the piano player in the bar, and an Autobot sympathizer.
- In the Dreamwave Generation One continuity, Maccadam's Old Oil House was suggested to exist out of the normal space and time continuum. This was shortly after semi-established to be true in "Prime Spark", which posed the bar as some sort of multiversal meeting place. All this further pushes the theory that its owner Maccadam is one of the thirteen original Transformers and the same being across continuities. However, nothing definitive has been revealed about the matter, and Hasbro effectively ignored him when establishing the Aligned version of the 13. Whether this actually affects Maccadam or not is unknown, especially as other fiction would go on establish that the Aligned Thirteen are separate from their multiversal counterparts. The 2015 edition of Ask Vector Prime paid homage to the Maccadam rumour by hinting that his true identity is that of the Thirteen member Alchemist Prime, but this is also said to be a rumour.
- When we see the exterior of the IDW continuity Maccadam's New Oil House in "Shadowplay, Part 1: Post Hoc", on the sign there is an image of a 'bot with facial hair, wearing a hat, shirt and tie. Could this be our first glimpse of the elusive Maccadam?
- Like all non-toy Transformers in the Kre-O comic, Maccadam uses actual Kre-O parts, specifically the ever-popular Hound helmet piece.
- Maccadam's appearance and coloration, as well as his pose, is based on a piece of artwork from Transformers: The Ultimate Guide. The homage is further compounded by Sixshot, Phoenix and Lander being in the background.
