AKOM

AKOM is a South Korean animation studio owned and founded by Nelson Shin. AKOM is known for its very "cost-efficient" animation and is used frequently for American cartoons. Some shows AKOM has worked on include the Simpsons, X-Men, the Tick and Savage Dragon.

AKOM first began animating Transformers episodes in season 2 of the Generation 1 cartoon series with The Core, The Autobot Run and City of Steel. Their participation would increase dramatically by season 3, where they produced nearly every episode, and season 4, which they animated exclusively.
