Big Green Dead?

Onslaught is a genius when it comes to strategy. According to the TRF, he is currently making a new weapon called The Decapitator. While Onslaught's tactical skill is his most impressive asset, he's more proud of the fact that he's so much bigger than his peers. In true Decepticon fashion, he likes to show off his brawn by bullying smaller foes.

Sometimes, he is the leader of the Combaticons, with whom he combines to form the mighty Bruticus Maximus.

Onslaught was among the Decepticons in T.R.F.'s custody. When the T.R.F. opted to work with Megatron and release some Decepticons to be part of his "crew", among Megatron's first choices was... Berserker. However, Berserker was deemed too dangerous, so Megatron had to settle for Onslaught, who needed high level clearance to be released. When released, he angrily bemoaned the small size of the T.R.F.'s doors, which he could not fit through.

Onslaught joined the Decepticons on their hunt for Cade Yeager, and followed his leader to the human's scrap yard and then to a nearby town. They were met with some not-quite-unexpected resistance in the form of the Autobots Bumblebee, Drift, and Crosshairs and damaged in a trap set by Yeager. He attempted to catch the fugitive human but was ambushed by Drift and Crosshairs. He first lost his leg and took several shots in the chest before finally losing his head to Drift's sword. Revenge of the Fallen

  • Bruticus Maximus (2009)
Revenge of the Fallen Onslaught is a redeco of Energon Barricade, transforming into an eight-wheeled armored personnel carrier with a rear-mounted (non-firing) missile rack that turns and elevates. He was available with the Revenge of the Fallen Bruticus Maximus giftset, and when combined with the other Combaticons, Onslaught forms the torso. Almost every Onslaught also has a paint error on the right robot knee, in that there is no paint around the hole immediately below the knee, where there is paint on the left one. This error is also evident in the box photos for the individual robot mode, but not the combined mode, curiously. ONSLT and C5 (a reference to the original Onslaught's team ID number) are tampographed on the hood of Onslaught's vehicle mode.
He was also retooled into Timelines Heatwave and is indistinguishable from Universe Onslaught, including the paint error.

Notes

  • In The Last Knight, Onslaught reuses Long Haul's model, with minor modifications such as a large cannon affixed onto his left arm, a large claw in place of his right hand and smokestacks on his back (from the tow truck) that evoke his original G1 self, which had cannons instead.
