Crosshairs is an Autobot from the Age of Extinction portion of the movie continuity family.
Your membership to the Continental has been, by thine own hand, revoked.

When the chips are down, Crosshairs is the kind of guy you'd want on your team. Or you would, if it wasn't for the fact that he's self-loving and more than a bit of a jerk. This Autobot paratrooper's got a mouthful of Australia-accented snark with a bad attitude and little respect for Optimus Prime, harboring a desire to just be on his own or otherwise be in charge himself.

Despite these vices, Crosshairs is still a crack shot who can always hit the ground running and make mincemeat out of Decepticons. He has a knack for catching his enemies by surprise, either by dropping in from above or with a lightning-fast draw of his Sidearm Blasters. As the sharpest shot on the battlefield, his peers know he'll always hit his target.<ref>Age of Extinction: Generations Deluxe Class Crosshairs packaging bio</ref> And if the chips are really down, he'll come through in the end for his fellow Autobots.

Age of Extinction film

Crosshairs was among the Autobots who went into hiding on Earth when Harold Attinger's Cemetery Wind began hunting down the Autobots. Crosshairs had joined up with Drift, Hound, and Bumblebee, and the group remained hidden until Optimus Prime returned to them. Crosshairs expressed joy and faith when their leader returned, saying he always believed he would, but still grumbled about the treatment of the Autobots at the hands of the humans. Crosshairs, along with Hound, immediately tried to kill Cade Yeager, Tessa Yeager, and Shane Dyson, but Optimus restrained him, explaining their part in helping protect him from Attinger. That night, Crosshairs made known his desire to strike out on his own after Drift and Bumblebee started fighting, but fell in under Optimus as the gravity of their situation began to sink in. Crosshairs learned of Leadfoot's fate, and joined in the plan for Cade and Shane to infiltrate KSI.

However, when Cade discovered Ratchet's deactivated head being melted down, Optimus furiously rallied the Autobots into action. Crosshairs gleefully joined in the shooting up of KSI, and was prepared to kill Joshua Joyce, but after a demoralizing speech from the human, Optimus ordered a retreat. The Autobots took to the road with their human allies, and were pursued by Galvatron and Stinger. Crosshairs was absent for the ensuing battle against Galvatron, but Optimus and Tessa were captured by Lockdown.

See? Once again our explosive personality wins the day!

The group made for Chicago, where they snuck aboard Lockdown's vessel. Crosshairs initially refused to take part in the rescue mission, asking what was in it for him, but after some aggressive negotiation from Hound, joined in the mission. Crosshairs helped sabotage some of the ship, causing the anchors to release, which the humans used to escape after rescuing Tessa. He warned Hound against messing with alien creatures on the ship, to no avail. They soon found the captured Optimus, who instructed them to detach the part of Lockdown's vessel they were on for their own personal use. Crosshairs soon commandeered an Orbital Assault Carrier, using it to pick up Bumblebee and the Humans. He flew it through the skies of Chicago, fleeing Lockdown's minions until deciding to enter the fray personally, but not before instructing Cade and Shane on how to use the OAC's weaponry. Crosshairs took on many of Lockdown's henchmen upon para-trooping into the skies, and later exited the battle and regrouped with the others.

Crosshairs was all too happy to leave Earth when Optimus decided they would leave permanently. He remained aboard the ship stolen from Lockdown with Drift and Optimus, but unfortunately their ride off-planet was shot down. Crashing in a nearby valley, Crosshairs decided he'd had enough of being the "underdog" and said the humans deserved what was coming for them before asking Optimus what their next move would be. Crosshairs was both astonished and annoyed that Optimus recruited the aid of the Dinobots, and retreated to the sidelines while Optimus beat some authority into Grimlock. Upon seeing Grimlock's massive dinosaur mode, he backed away in fear. The Dinobots joined up with the Autobots once Optimus "coerced" Grimlock, and Crosshairs mounted Scorn, though not without a few more grumbles about Optimus' exceptional motivational skills. Crosshairs took on many of the KSI Transformers with Scorn, and they later helped escort the Seed to safety. Lockdown's intervention threw things astray, but the battle saw the Autobots victorious. Crosshairs bid farewell to Scorn, who he had nicknamed "Spike" after the battle, and told his new friend that he'd ride with him anytime. When Optimus departed into space on his own, he ordered Crosshairs and the other remaining Autobots to protect the Yeagers from harm. Age of Extinction

Years after Optimus had left Earth, Crosshairs had taken refuge at Cade's junkyard with the other Autobots. He occupied his time by flying around on a small fighter craft and continued to boast his desire to be leader, feeling the Autobots were getting soft hiding in the junkyard. When Cade, Hound and Bumblebee returned from an altercation with TRF, he proclaimed a "leader" like himself would have been far more useful than Bee. The younger bot did not take to kindly to the remark and after Crosshairs declared that Bee would never be Optimus, the argument turned physical as they began to wrestle fiercely. Crosshairs endured a visit from Daytrader and was later present, and solemn as Cade called his absent daughter. The following morning, Crosshairs rang the morning bell for the junkyard as he sarcastically welcomed apparently another boring day.

Crosshairs soon found they were in for a decidedly non-boring day when the Decepticons and TRF discovered where they were hiding. He and the others rolled out to a nearby town where a trap had been set. Upon arrival, Drift discovered a TRF tracking device on Bumblebee, and Crosshairs scolded the immature young bot for leading their enemies right to them. During the battle, he and Drift teamed up against the much larger Onslaught, with him blasting their enemy in the chest before Drift decapitated him. Crosshairs, Bumblebee, Drift, and Grimlock then fended off the remaining Decepticons, and he mocked the retreating "chickens" as they fled. He soon shot down the remainder of the TRF drones and attempted to squish the "cockroach"/"C-3PO Ripoff" Cogman, who was harassing Cade. Instead, the surprisingly strong Headmaster grabbed his hand and twisted one of his fingers sideways, causing him to collapse in pain. When Cade and Bee chose to go to England with Cogman, Crosshairs quickly declared himself to be in charge, but that did not entail him telling any bedtime stories to Izabella.

Later, when Cybertron arrived at Earth, he and the other Autobots were quite happy to see Lockdown's old ship delivered to them by Daytrader. They arrived at Stonehenge and reunited with the returned Optimus, who rallied them, the humans and the Guardian Knights to protect Earth. As Optimus flew off to lead the charge, Crosshairs declared his admiration for his leader, whose speeches always gave him goosebumps. En route to Cybertron, he and the other Autobots were unimpressed with the intimating knights. In the final battle, he flew an Orbital Assault Carrier and engaged the airborne Decepticons. He managed to avoid being shot down by Infernocus and provided cover fire as Optimus and the other Autobots rushed the control center. After the battle was won, he returned home to Cybertron with the other Autobots. The Last Knight

Titan movie comics

Crosshairs attempts to demonstrate his new web shooters to Bumblebee.

Crosshairs arrived on Earth sometime after the Decepticon invasion of Chicago, and assisted Bumblebee and Optimus Prime on a mission to track and eliminate three Decepticon survivors in Indonesia. The Decepticons retreated but Crosshairs had placed a tracking device (which doubled as a bomb) on their boss, and tracked them to Pulau Bidadari. He requested permission to go alone, claiming a sneak attack by one bot would catch the enemy off guard; in large part, this was done to show off his skills as Crosshairs felt humans couldn't be trusted anymore and it was just up to Autobots.

On Pulua Bidadari, he swiftly took out all three of his charges (secretly under the watchful eye of Bumblebee), making sure to mock the Decepticon he'd planted the bomb on before it went off. Optimus felt that Crosshairs was more than combat ready but that they had missed something. Crosshairs (incorrectly) reassured him otherwise. Thousand Island Fight

How to Ride a Dinobot! comic

When Optimus Prime insisted the Autobots learn how to ride Dinobots, Crosshairs and Drift quickly managed to get atop of their steeds. Warning them not to get cocky, Optimus suggested a combat drill between the two of them. Crosshairs charged Scorn towards Drift and Slug with full force...only for the Dinobots to halt at the last moment and launch their riders into each other. But when Grimlock detected Decepticons nearby, Scorn allowed Crosshairs to ride him once again as they headed out into battle. How to Ride a Dinobot!

Yokohama Decepticon Secret Base

Disguised as a car, Crosshairs was among the Autobots hiding out at Transformers Expo. When Nemesis Prime, another Nemesis Prime and Nemesis Grimlock attacked, the Autobots revealed themselves and battled them. Yokohama Decepticon Secret Base

Creature of Chaos comics

Crosshairs and Optimus Prime find turbofoxes roaming a town, and Crosshairs runs away. Once found, he tells Optimus of a past encounter with the beasts, when he had commanded a group of autobots when turbofoxes attacked, but was too far away to help and was left to watch as the creatures killed his soldiers one by one, and their voices haunt him to this day. Optimus then tells him that he must use that fear and guilt to defeat the turbofoxes, and later the two autobots end up triumphant.

This One-Step Changer toy of Crosshairs converts from Corvette to robot mode in one simple step by pressing a button on the car's windshield, via a transformation scheme he shares with his fellow One-Step Changers, Lockdown and Stinger. His only articulation is the arms.
After transforming into robot mode, Crosshairs needs to transform back into vehicle mode in two steps: push the button again while clamping the vehicle parts together by hand to secure them.
The TakaraTomy version (pictured right) features more paint applications, intended to make him appear more movie-accurate.

Crosshairs turns into a licensed [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Chevrolet Corvette C7|{{#if:2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray|2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray|Chevrolet Corvette C7}}]]. To replicate the duster coat he wears in the movie, his transformation involves much of the sides and roof of the vehicle mode folding up and wrapping around him, making him into a fairly egregious shellformer. But it looks awesome, so it matters not.
He comes with what his packaging refers to as "Sidearm Blasters"; they are actually based on sticky-bombs featured in concept art for the character, but they can also be held as pistols and are depicted as such in all stock photography. He also comes with a single silenced submachine gun based on the pair he wielded in the movie proper, and he features storage for the blasters and SMG in his coattails (5 mm ports underneath the rubber flaps) and calves, respectively.
Because his duster increases his footprint by splaying out in all directions, Crosshairs is usually mistransformed both in-package and in stock photos so he can actually fit. In actual fact, his tailgate can fold down behind his head so that it's much less conspicuous and doesn't interfere with his light-piping gimmick, and two rubber flaps concealed under the vehicle mode windows fold out and connect to his torso beneath a pair of sculpted lapels, completing the duster as opposed to simply leaving Crosshairs as a robot trapped beneath the top half of a Corvette.
Caution must be taken when transforming the rubber sections of the vehicle shell/trenchcoat, as the soft plastic is kept in place by metal pins which may erode the hinge areas, which can cause said hinges to loosen or the parts in question to tear and fall off.
The Movie Advanced Series version of Crosshairs adds several new paint applications for a more screen-accurate look...except for a missing stripe on the right side of the vehicle.
Crosshairs was redecoed into Age of Extinction Hot Shot.

This chrome redeco of Crosshairs is released as a lucky draw figure available through the special midnight launch event of Transformers Age of Extinction toys at Taiwan Toys"R"Us stores, by purchasing NTD $699 or more of Transformers merchandise, a random chromed Deluxe figure would be given away. The figure is limited to 24 pieces, with 8 in each branch that was participating in the midnight launch. There were four different styles of the figure available, randomly distributed among the stores - this silver chromed Crosshairs was just one of the four.


Don't expect him tackling a Were-Car anytime soon.

Released as a 5-pack under the Generations line, Platinum Edition Crosshairs is a screen-accurate (even more screen-accurate than the Takara version!) redeco of AOE Crosshairs.
This time around he is cast in a paler green and includes extensive paint operations on his shoulders, thighs, toes, arms & midsection. He also finally has the striping on the right side of his vehicle mode painted though, strangely, his "3-D goggles" are unpainted.
He came in the BBTS shared exclusive "Autobots United" set along with screen-accurate redecoes of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Drift, and Hound.


Construct-Bots

Part of the second wave of Dinobot Riders toys, Crosshairs changes into a car and includes a small blaster accessory. He is designed to ride any larger Dinobot figure of the same line.

Released as part of the "Scorn Street Chase" set, the Crosshairs Kreon's appearance is based on his appearance in Age of Extinction. He comes with a new helmet piece with a visor attachment that can slide down over his eyes.
The Scorn Street Chase set also includes a buildable Dinobot beast Scorn.

Part of the second wave of Custom Kreons, this Crosshairs Kreon comes with a buildable parts rack on which to hang/store his many many extra pieces. His "normal" helmet and his pair of Blasters are chromed, plus he comes with an extra clear-plastic helmet, torso, legs, and his 3D goggles. He also has a pair of extra arms (originally from the Kre-O Battleship aliens), a "door-wing" backpack piece, a Bazooka, and his huge battle axe, as a nod to the other movieverse Crosshairs' weapon used in The Reign of Starscream comic book.


Q-Transformers

Q-Transformers Crosshairs transforms from a super deformed Chevrolet Corvette C7 to a cute little robot. He comes with a code for unlocking Crosshairs as a playable character in the Q-Transformers: Mystery of Convoy Returns game, though his in-game appearance is very different from the toy's, featuring the same vehicle mode but with Generation 1 Crosshairs' head and colors.
This mold was retooled into Q-Transformers Tracks.

Part of the first assortment of blind-bagged Tiny Turbo Changers, Crosshairs is a soft-plastic, "superdeformed" robot who changes to an unlicensed approximation of his on-screen vehicle mode in a few simple steps. He has articulated shoulders, and his hands are compatible with Cyberverse weapons and other 3 mm-peg accessories. Like all Tiny Turbo Changers, his vehicle mode's wheels are immobile, sorry.
This mold was also used to make Movie Edition Evac.


Legion Class

Originally a solicited-but-cancelled toy leaked in 2014, Crosshairs finally saw release of his own Legion Class figure. He transforms from a pocket-sized robot into a unlicensed Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray, albeit without a spoiler. He also features 3 mm compatible holes on his pair of hands. His front car kibble ends up hanging on his back, probably just to evoke the back piece of his "Trench coat".

Part of the third wave of The Last Knight Premier Edition figures, Crosshairs is a retool of his Age of Extinction Generations release. The figure has new, movie-accurate weapons and remolds done to the vehicle mode to make it look more like the real car. The soft rubber portions of the 'trenchcoat' have also been changed into solid plastic ones, improving durability of said portions. (The rubber parts from the previous toy were known to rip occasionally.)
Apart from this, Crosshairs also suffers two design flaws: The simple-assembly wheels are known to easily pop off from the vehicle due to slightly wide holes, and the guns were unable to peg into his trenchcoats properly. This was later fixed in the re-release of the figure. The flawed release features a date code "72081", whereas the fixed version features a date code written as "72011". Unfortunately as a result of where the date code is imprinted on the figure's packaging (on the back of the box, to the left of the “GM” logo), it can be difficult to tell which number is printed. It is unknown what other date codes signify. It is also unknown if the flawed version affects the Japanese release.
Additionally, his hood section may seem like green plastic at first, but is in fact clear plastic painted over with green and black. Care should be taken when transforming the figure due to this.

Studio Series Crosshairs is a film-accurate version of the character that transforms into a licensed Corvette Stingray. Crosshairs is a shellformer, though it's justified in his case to form the trench coat of his character design. As shown by designer Sam Smith,<ref>In-Hand Images of SS-92 Crosshairs from Sam Smith</ref> a portion of his back kibble is on a ball joint that can be removed if so desired, allowing for a cleaner silhouette and a greater range of motion. This is not mentioned in the instructions. Crosshairs comes armed with his usual dual SMGs, which can also store on the "coattails" of his trench coat in both modes.
His spoiler is not glued in and pops off very easily. Leaving it off does allow for more fan modes of the coat kibble. Unlike the initial renders, Crosshairs has no paint on his legs.
The grey plastic balljoints that his shoulder connects to as well as on his bicep mushroom peg may soften and warp over time, making moving them near impossible.
Like most Studio Series figures, Crosshairs comes with a backdrop, which depicts his scene next to the bowling alley where Cogman breaks his finger.
The figure was extensively retooled into the Transformers x Bingo Sports Optimus Prime.

Released by Jada Toys, this 1/24 scaled non-transforming die-cast car with rubber tires is based on Crosshairs' licensed 2016 Chevy Corvette Stingray form and features opening doors, hood, and trunk to reveal highly detailed interiors, including chromed engines and steering wheel. Similar to the Robot Powered Machines, the car features a sculpted robot mode underneath.
Crosshairs is available with and without a collectible die-cast coin with his face engraved on it.

Nano Hollywood Rides Crosshairs was to be a small non-transforming die-cast car measuring approximately 1.65 inches long, similar to but less detailed than the 1/64 scaled replica. It is most likely that he was going to be based on his appearance from The Last Knight.
Crosshairs was planned to be part of a 3-pack alongside Optimus Prime and Hot Rod, but the set was never released.

Prime 1 Studio

Limited to 700 pieces, Prime 1 Studio Museum Masterline Crosshairs is a huge non-transforming sculpture based on his The Last Knight appearance. The statue is made of polystone along with other materials and features light-up LED eyes.
He comes with a pair of pistols attached to his hands. The exclusive version also comes with an interchangeable pair of arms bending by the elbow and pointing the pistols upwards.

  • Along with Hound, Crosshairs did not have any on-screen transformations until The Last Knight was released.
  • Crosshairs (or rather the car that portrays him) went under the pre-production name "Slingshot". Interestingly enough, Crosshairs's personality, that of a somewhat self-centered braggart with a wish for command, evokes the original bearer of the name "Slingshot".
  • Concept art for Crosshairs depicts him with facial features very similar to Michael Bay's. His arrogant personality further suggests the possibility of having been originally conceived as a self-insert character of sorts.
  • According to Paul Marlon Wood, Kre-O Crosshairs' helmet piece is called "Sling Shot Helmet".
  • Although not as drastic as Bumblebee, Hound, and Drift's new alt-modes in The Last Knight, Crosshairs' Corvette mode does feature some changes from Age of Extinction, most notably the rims colored to black, a different spoiler and a slightly different pattern.
  • Crosshairs' robot mode is also slightly different in The Last Knight: The back of his trench coat is a bit shorter and is split down the middle.
